Orb, Phase Shifter, and Staff of Light 5 Immortals 3 Destroyers 12 Warriors 12 Warriors 3 Swarms 4 Swarms Him: Not sure exact list, but a one squad of twenty guys, one squad of fifteen, thre Obliterators, a Lord that was BEEFED up, and a few Aspiring Champs. |
| -----Chaos Lord Honus of the Iron Warriors spit on the fertile ground. Stupid planet. He had been ordered to explore the god-forsaken world and was despising it. In the past two months, two expeditions of Black Legion troops had been attacked and destroyed by Necrons(note-these were actual battles i played in which i slaughtered black legion) and he had been sent to squash them. His scanners had detected some force coming, so he had been busy preparing for the attack. To his left, Obliterators were stationed in the ruined building, their arms morphing into lascannons. A large group of Iron Warriors stood before him, led by Aspiring Champion Ness. And to his right, Champion Dulth led his largest squad of battle hungry warriors. He began to see metal figures in the distance rapidly approaching. "Men of Iron, Today we Fight." he said. "We Fight for Iron, for we are The warriors of It, and by It our Enemies Fall." the responded. "Iron Smotes, It Crushes. It Destroys. Iron Within, Iron Without, Iron Within, Iron Without, Iron Within..."----- |
| TURN ONE Iron Warriors: Nothing moved. The Obiterators morphed lascannons and tore the beams into Warrior Squad Alpha, dropping two. they would have been gone had my Lord not had a resurrection orb. Necrons: 1 of the fallen Warriors stood back up, the other gone to the tomb for repairs. All my men moved forward in a solid block, my Destroyer and Lord together in the middle of my men(behind the men, really) with my Immortals behind Warrior Squad 1. My Scarabs on both flanks spread forward into terrain to protect them from any shots they may receive. My Destroyer fire their cannons at the Obliterators, causing a wound on one of them. TURN TWO IW: All of his men stayed stationary. His Obs. shot at my warriors again, but this time none went down. N-I moved my one squad partially onto a hill in the middle of the board My other moved to the left of the hill. My scarabs went to the edges of their terrain, but the one squad was near the Obliterators. My Immortals and Destroyers fired at the Obliterators and took down one of the blasted things and caused a wound on another. I found out my scarabs were not in charge range of the Obs. |
| TURN THREE IW: Both Squads moved up. Obs. and both squads shot at Warriors on hill. Three of the 'Crons fell to the shots. The squad near the ruins and the Obs. assaulted the scarabs there and took them down. They then swept nine inches forward toward my warriors. N: Two Necron Warriors out of three got up. My one warrior squad shot at the twenty strong squad and killed two of them. The one squad facing the Lord, a big squad of guys and the Obs. rapid-fired into the squad, killing five of them. The Destroyers fired into them, killing four more, and the Immortals killed three. I assaulted the big squad with my scarabs, and although dragging one down, all four swarms were eviscerated in a flurry of hits. The IW consolidated. TURN FOUR IW: All men moved up. The Obs. rolled a six for slow and purposeful and so came up with the now really small squad. They then assaulted my warrior squad along with the small squad w/ an Asp. Champ. After the smoke died down, five warriors in the one fight with the Obs. died, while one of the Obs. and two of the three remaining guys in the one squad died for Chaos. The squad passed their morale check. |
| N: I pulled my Destroyers from the combat area and swung them around the flank behind my one warrior squad. to stop almost 60 attacks coming my way, I ran at the big squad of 18 and shot them, killing two. I then fired my D's into them, killing two more. My warriors managed to kill one in return for them killing three-two couldnt get up from a powerfist and no orb near them. I passed my morale check. . The other Aspiring Champ and the Ob. really hurt my men with the now-in-the-fray Chaos Lord. TURN FIVE IW: The remaing Ob. and the Lord and the Aspiring Champ continued to fight my squad that was now really low on men. My men still stuck in there. On the other flank, my men were run down by the thirteen-strong squad of Iron Warriors. They came up an Inch short of sweeping into my Lord and Destroyers. N: Realizing that I would phase out soon, I wanted to take out as many as I could. I fired my Lord and D's into the squad of Chaos and killed three. I then charged them and bludgeoned three to death. they killed none in return, but they passed their morale check. In the other assault, my warriors were run down and my Immortals were swept into. They fired into the three men, causing a wound on the Lord. In combat, the Immortals caused another wound on the Lord(reducing him to two) and one on the Aspiring Champion. They were then soundly beaten with three powerfists and two servo-arms. My remaining Lord and Destroyers phased out. |
| ----Lord Honus breathed heavily. He had almost been slayed by the bulky Necrons and had lost almost his entire force. Aspiring Champion Ness turned to him and wiped his powerfist on the ground. "My Lord, what shall we do now? We lost our communicator to our ship and most of our force is dead. If we are attacked again we shall surely lose." Honus nodded. "We must fine the communicator. He, his remaining Obliterator, and Ness walked over to the other squad. Champion Dulth was breathing heavily. He only had six men remaining and was clearly angry. Honus opened his mouth to talk when two men screamed. Three large black structures had risen from the grass. They had a piece of green something glowing in them and they seemed like some sort of gun batteries. Honus saw that they were Necron constructs from the heiroglyphs on them. The Pylons opened fire on the small, beleaguered Chaos force, slaughtering all of them in a few short blasts of deadly gauss energy. Only a few remaining bodies remained to tell that anything had happened here.-------- |
